Friends of the Easton Public Library
The Friends of the Easton Public Library is a non-profit volunteer organization
dedicated to sustaining and enhancing our library.
The Friends of the Easton Public Library is looking for enthusiastic, creative, and forward-thinking community members who would like to volunteer their time and talents to this wonderful organization which provides critical support for the Library. Available opportunities include planning and implementing fundraisers and other events; Treasurer duties; and recruiting new members. Ideal candidates will possess a passion for the Library. Hours are flexible and based on candidates’ schedules. The benefits are priceless! If interested, please contact Library Director Lynn Zaffino at 203-261-0134 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Friends of the Easton Public Library, a 501(c)(3) organization, has supported the Library in numerous ways over the past few decades. Through its Book Sales, Cow Chip Raffle, Mini-Golf, and other fundraisers, the Friends of the Library has provided financial support in the form of programming, equipment, and much more. The group has also hosted fun events for the community, including the Holiday Tree Lighting, Story Book Parade, a professional puppet show, and a Library sleepover.
Currently, the Friends of the Library is at an important crossroads. President Gina Orticelli and Treasurer Patricia Soltisiak have recently resigned from their positions, after serving for many years. As they were the last two remaining active members, this puts the Friends in jeopardy of dismantling if a new group of people does not step forward to carry on the organization. There is no minimum time commitment to actively serve on the Friends. All that is needed is a desire to support the Library and its mission. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents, please contact Library Director Lynn Zaffino at
