A Deeper Look at Our Kids/Teens Section
How many of you are familiar with the Kids/Teens tab on our website? If you're looking for programming, book suggestions, homework help, and special events, you'll find them here. The first stop on the Kids/Teens tab is the slider, which features slides of upcoming events as well as other important information. The first slide will always have a button for program information and a button for registration. Underneath the slider are two displays for books that will be arriving soon at the Library. If you click on any of the book covers, it will bring you to the catalog, so you can reserve it.
The dropdown menu under the Kids/Teens tab takes you to all the things we have going on for kids and teens. Children's Programs is another way to access the latest trifold. Summer Reading 2021 provides all the information necessary to register and log books for this year's Summer Reading Adventure, and includes reading lists to help reach child reach his or her reading goals. Easton Geocaching is one of the great programs happening for Summer Reading, encouraging kids to explore their surroundings. For kids in grades K-5, there is a What to Read Next Kids page, and a K-5 Homework Resources page. For our teens in grades 6-12 we have Teen Action Groups, What to Read Next Teens, 6-12 Homework Resources and Volunteers. There is also a closer look at our Innovation Space and an Anti-Racism Resources page, which we are in the process of updating.
