A New Addition to Easton Public Library!
I’d like to share some exciting news!
This past summer, our Library received a federal grant through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This grant has enabled us to purchase a Decibel® Double study booth, which was installed a couple of weeks ago. This booth will function as a private study/work/meeting room for one or two people at a time. It is situated in what was formerly the Innovation Space, which was forced to shut down when the pandemic hit.
We are very excited for our patrons to start using it! So far, it has been well-received by staff and patrons, alike.
In addition to purchasing the booth, some of the grant funds were used to upgrade our Wi-Fi service throughout the building, especially in the Community Room. We will also be expanding our Wi-Fi access to the Library grounds, so that patrons can work, study, and use their devices outside.
We also plan on purchasing additional outdoor furniture for the front, side, and back of the building. This purchase will help make our back patio much more welcoming and useable for our patrons. Due to shipment backlogs, the outdoor Wi-Fi access project has been delayed a bit, but it is expected to be completed later this fall. The new outdoor furniture should be in place by the spring.
We hope you will join us to experience all of these new improvements to the Library!
