Bingeable Book Series

Summer is on its way! The days are getting longer, warmer, and busier. But that doesn't mean you can't still find some time to sit down and read a good book. Everyone has been binge-watching TV shows like crazy over the last 14 months. But, did you know that there are some book series that are also binge worthy?

This week we are going to highlight a few of these wonderful book series that are sure to give you many hours of reading enjoyment.

Stone Barrington series by Stuart Woods

Do you like mysteries? If so, crack open the first book to feature Stone Barrington. Follow the events of Barrington's life after he leaves his job as a police officer. The book series, which taps out at more than 55 titles (and still publishing!), is extremely popular and with multiple books publishing each year, you won't have to wait long for the next installment.

The first book in the series, New York Dead is available from the Easton Library as a Large Print title. We have numerous titles in this series available in both regular print and large print. They can be found in the Mystery section.

Winter Street Inn series by Elin Hilderbrand

Ah summer! The time of year where you can count on at least a handful of new romance books to line our selves. These summer romances tend to take place in tropical places or on islands and make the reader feel like they are there with the characters. But romance doesn't only happen in the summer! Hilderbrand's Winter Street Inn series is a perfect example of that! Set during the winter months on Nantucket Island, this series follows the life of inn owner, Kelley Quinn and how he tries to reunite his family over a winter holiday.

Get lost in a wintry wonderland of love and family drama, with this unexpected summer read! It's perfect for those sweltering days in the middle of August when you may actually wish for snow!

The Magicians by Lev Grossman

Are you a lover of all things fantasy? If so, this next one may be for you! While this series only has three installments, it shouldn't be overlooked. For fans of Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia, this trilogy is like a trip back to your favorite places! It follows a brilliant math prodigy on his journey at a school of magic where he learns that the stories of his childhood aren't always as the appear to be.

This series was so popular and well-written that even Hollywood took notice. The SYFY series The Magicians took its inspirations from this trilogy. The Easton Library has all three titles in the series available in the Science Fiction & Fantasy collection.

The Mitford Years series by Jan Karon

Ah, Mitford! This fictional North Carolina town quickly became the favorite among readers everywhere. And with 14 titles, you can easily get lost in the lives of the town's residents.

This first book in the series centers around Father Tim, the rector in town and how he helps others who need it most. This series seems to have something for everyone. Mystery, love, humor, and more! Pack your bags! Get ready to move to Mitford, because once you start reading, you won't want to stop. Luckily the Easton Library has all 14 titles, so you can keep with the crew easily.

Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard

If you are or know someone who is in middle school or high school, then you're probably familiar with our YA collection. The series we are featuring here will keep you entertained for many hours! In fact, we've heard that someone finished all the books in a month!

This series was made into a tv show that aired on what is now called Freeform but it has been entertaining audiences for many years. There are over a dozen books in this series, which make it the perfect binge-worthy option. Get ready to learn about the secrets of these high schoolers and who has the power to tell them all!
