Lynn Zaffino, Director

Lynn has been at the Easton Public Library since May of 2008.  She spent six years as the Children's/Teen Librarian, then two years as the Assistant Director/Head of Youth Services.  She took over as Library Director in October of 2016.  Prior to working here in Easton, she spent two years at the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Library in Trumbull.  Lynn received her Master of Library Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 2010.  Prior to her Library career, she worked in retail management, banking, and bookkeeping.  Lynn and her husband also owned and operated a used book store in Guilford, CT.  Lynn resides in West Haven, CT with her husband, daughter, and dog.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading (naturally!), walking, bowling, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Beth Rassulo, Assistant Director/Head of Youth Services

Mary Beth joined the Library in October of 2016. She is a native New Yorker and a singer/songwriter with a curious nature that led her into the library world. Mary Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Writing from Western Connecticut State University, and a Masters of Library and Information Science from Long Island University. Her passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programming was developed while she was the Children’s Services Librarian at Ridgefield Library. When she’s not at the library she enjoys the outdoors, friends and family, and her grandpuppy, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/Dachshund mix named Rosco.

Kristine Oulman, Youth Services Librarian

Kristine joined the Library as a page in October, 2017. She is currently studying for her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science at Wayne State University. She loves to read but never has the chance because she is a full-time mother, full-time student, and a full-time Youth Services Librarian. Kristine lives in Easton with her husband, three kids and their dog.

Shannon Bruchal, Library Assistant, Technology/Social Media

Shannon joined the Easton Library staff in June of 2016. Previously, she worked part-time at West Haven Library and Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University, and has worked many different jobs, such as proofreader, account executive, sales clerk, and youth minister, but the Library is her favorite. Library Assistant by day, folk singer by night, Shannon has recorded two CDs and performs online and at area venues.  When she’s not working or singing, you can find Shannon with her nose in a book and hanging out with her husband Rich, and Pearl T. Dog, a Lab mix.

Ryan Tice, Library Assistant, Technical Services - Cataloger

Ryan joined the staff in January 2017 as a cataloger. Prior to coming here, Ryan worked at Plumb Memorial Library in Shelton, in the Children's Department, where he had the privilege of overseeing both the Teen and Young Adult collections. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and is studying to receive his Masters in Library Science. Ryan and his family have a cat named Sophie.

Penelope Papadoulis, Library Assistant, Technical Services/Interlibrary Loan

Penelope was born in Athens, Greece. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical and Computer Studies & History of Art from Brooks University, Oxford. In 1990, Penelope and her family came to the United States and moved to Fairfield. She started at the Easton Library in November, 1994, as a part-time circulation assistant. She was promoted to a full-time, Technical Services/Cataloger in August of 1995. She loves to read fantasy and science fiction books.

Kerry Santoro, Youth Services Programming Assistant

Kerry Santoro started in February, 2020. She has worked in school and corporate libraries, and as an Adjunct Reference Librarian at Western Connecticut State University. Kerry obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the State University College at Oneonta in New York and her Master’s Degree in Library Science at Long Island University. When she is not working, Kerry enjoys spending time at her home in Ridgefield with her husband Dean, daughter Amelia, Black Lab Aries, and tuxedo cat Milo. She also enjoys reading, traveling, New York City, Maker Space crafts, and is an avid kickboxer.

Kevin Krug, Library Assistant, Circulation

Kevin has worked at the Easton Public Library since March of 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut. Kevin is also a Washington Redskins fan and enjoys watching the New York Yankees.

Debby Holland, Library Assistant, Circulation

Debby joined the Easton Public Library staff in July, 2018. She is a retired high school teacher and also works at Cheshire Public Library. She is married with three children and various pets. Debby loves reading, especially history, baseball, and the outdoors.

Terry Calgreen, Custodian

Terry has worked for the Town of Easton for more than 20 years. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, but has lived almost all of his life in Stratford, where he still lives with his wife Noreen. They have two daughters: Lauren, a nurse practitioner who lives in Stratford with Terry's best buddy, grandson Levi; and Sarah, a deputy U.S. Marshall who resides in Monroe.

Leyli Ghavami, Library Page

Leyli joined the Easton Public Library in October 2018, during her sophomore year. She’s very interested in all aspects of the arts, ranging from drawing and painting, to cooking, and (of course) literature! She also is involved in the National Charity League, through which she participates in volunteer work. She lives in Easton with her parents, younger sister, and two cats, and is very excited to be working at the library!

Weston Keenan, Library Page

Weston joined the Easton Public Library as a page in September, 2019.  He is currently a sophomore at Joel Barlow High School.  Weston enjoys playing lacrosse, writing/producing music, watching football, and reading in his spare time.  He lives in Easton with his parents and younger sister.

Nicole Angelescu, Library Page

Nicole joined the Easton Public Library in October of 2019 during her senior year at Joel Barlow High School. She is very interested in biology as well as all forms of art, including drawing, singing, and dancing. In her spare time, she loves to read, play instruments, explore the outdoors, and hang out with her family. She lives in Easton with her parents and her older brother.
